Fields named NAIA All-American

Roemon Fields, a senior from Seattle, Wash., received Honorable Mention All-American honors from the National Association of Intercollegiate Athletics (NAIA).

The NAIA announced the 2012 Baseball All-America teams, selected by the NAIA-Baseball Coaches Association (BCA) All-America Selection Committee.Head Baseball Coach Jeremy Cantrell says, "To get honorable mention at the national level is a testament to the consistency that Roemon played with all season long. Considering that we do not play in the most offensive ballpark in the country, for him to hit .450 is phenomenal."

Fields also earned first-team all-KCAC honors. He is ranked no. 1 in the NAIA in fielding, no. 1 in batting average (.450), no. 2 in triples per game (0.184), no. 3 with total triples (9), and no. 4 in hits per game. On May 31, he participated in an invitation-only workout with the Kansas City Royals.
