Lindsborg, Kan. - The Bethany College Baseball team hosted the York University in the beginning of a 3-game series that will stretch out over the next few weeks. The Swedes looked to set the tone for the busy schedule in this last month of games.
Game
To start the bout the Swedes and Panthers would keep the first inning scoreless, however York would score 3 in the second. Bethany would score 1 in the next inning but the Panthers would hit back even harder by scoring another 3. The Swedes would get 3 of their own and make it 4-6 at 5th inning. Despite the great battle in the first half, the Panthers would find their momentum and score another 11 runs to make it 17-5 at the end of the game. Despite the result, a few Swedes stood out such as Jose Morales who got 2 hits and 2 RBIs. Noel Perez was also able to get on base 3 times and contribute to good momentum at bat.

The Bethany College Baseball team will travel to Bartlesville, Oklahoma to play Oklahoma Wesleyan over the weekend. The Swedes will continue to fight hard to bring some glory back to Lindsborg.
