SWEDES STAY HOT IN NECC; REMAIN UNDEFEATED
Lindsborg, Kan. - On Friday, February 17, the Swedes League of Legends team battled the Thunderbirds of the University of British Columbia in Week 2 NECC Regular Season action.
The Swedes would come out victorious 2-0 in the series, defeating the Thunderbirds in two controllable games. In Game 1, the Swedes, led by sophomore midlaner Kort "Tålamod" Sjogren's 12-3 statline would defeat the Thunderbirds in 31:39 with a 31-8 kill differential. Junior ADC Kobe "BarretCraig" Samake Kranjc would contribute 11 kills, second best on the team. Sophomore support Skyler "SowingMySeeds" would lead the team with 14 assists, followed by sophomore Jungler Jonathon "Citrus" Threlkeld's 11 assists.
In Game 2, the Swedes would break their own week-old school record for fastest victory, this time defeating the Thunderbirds in 25:24 with a 38-12 kill differential. BarretCraig would lead the Swedes with an 11-2 statline, while senior Top Laner Zack "Sui gënëris" Nguyen and SowingMySeeds would contribute 5 kills each. SowingMySeeds would again lead the Swedes in assists with 6 in the winning effort.
