SWEDES C.O.D. FALLS TO #1

Lindsborg, Kan. - On Monday March 3, the Swedes Call of Duty team claimed a forfeit win over the Ottawa Braves before falling 0-3 to the reigning national champions and current #1 rank Northwood Timberwolves. In the Map 1 Hardpoint on Hydro, the Swedes would put up a fight, but ultimately fall by a score of 169-250. Map 2 would also go the way of the Timerwolves, as the Swedes would fall 3-6 on Fortress Search and Destroy. In the series finale, the Swedes would drop the Hotel Control by a score of 0-3. 

 

Leaders for the Swedes in the series were freshman Mason "Slixx" Robinson with 44 kills, while senior Carlos "LoS" Jaramillo would contribute 37 of his own. Slixx would also lead the Swedes in Hardpoint time for Map 1, while LoS would contribute the Swedes lone bomb plant in Map 2.

 

 

The next matchup for the Swedes comes on Tuesday, March 14 as they take on both Minnesota State - Mankato, as well as Davenport. Those matches, starting at 8pm and 9:30pm respectively, can be viewed at the Swedes Esports twitch channel.
