SWEDES COMPLETE PERFECT REGULAR SEASON

Lindsborg, Kan. - On Wednesday, March 30, the Swedes League of Legends team claimed a forfeit victory over Colorado College, before taking down the University of Hawaii - West Oahu Owls in a thriller.

Against the Owls, the Swedes would suffer their first game defeat of the season, but still claim victory by a series score of 2-1. The Swedes would finish the NECC regular season with a clean 11-0 series record, and an impressive 18-1 game count. Heading into the NECC Playoffs, the Swedes will hold the #1 seed in their conference. 

In Game 1 against the Owls, the Swedes would trade kills back and forth with their opponent before pulling away in the latter stages. The final kill count in the Swedes Game 1 victory would be 17-12 in the Swedes favor, as they would finish the game in 35:10. Game 2, however, would not go the Swedes way, as they would fall in 30:56, with a total kill count of 12-21. In the series deciding Game 3, the Swedes would take down the Owls in 37:18 with a 29-23 kill advantage. 

Leading the Swedes in the series was Junior Kobe "BarretCraig" Samake-Kranjc with 18 kills. Senior Zach "Sui Generis" Nguyen would lead the Swedes with 43,078 gold in the series, while Barret Craig would claim the Swedes CS lead with 778. Sophomore Skyler "SowingMySeeds" Taylor would lead the Swedes in assists, as he posted 36 in the series. The Swedes would claim 22 towers in the series compared to the Owls 11.
