Allen Named to NAIA All American Team

Grand Island, Neb. - January 14, 2010 - The Victory Sports Network has announced the 2010 NAIA Football All-American team as voted on by the National Association of Intercollegiate Athletics (NAIA) football coaches and the Victory Sports Network (VSN) broadcast team.

Bethany College student Junior Allen, a sophomore running back from Davie, Fla., has been named to the Victory Sports Network NAIA Second Team All American Team. He rushed for a total of 1416 yards, averaging 5.8 yards per carry and 141.6 yards per game breaking the school record.
This is the ninth annual edition of the NAIA Football All-American Team, which began in 2002 with Jason Dannelly and a committee of coaches. Each season the Victory Sports Network also gives five overall honors for the best offensive and defensive players of the year as well the head coach, assistant coach and media person/sports information director of the year.

"This year's All-American voting was as tight as it has ever been," said Jason Dannelly, owner and founder of the Victory Sports Network. "It just goes to show the type of talent there is in the NAIA and what a great job the coaches do of recognizing it."

Allen is the son of Lesleyann Allen and is majoring in psychology while at Bethany.
