The Bethany offensive line was solid all season long. Three of the five offensive linemen were All-Conference selections. Brooks Porter and Justin Burns were named Second Team All-KCAC while Cory McManus was Honorable Mention All-KCAC. The three led a Bethany team that rushed for over 200 yards three different games, including the final game of the season in which they rushed for 517 yards. The Bethany line gave up no sacks against Ottawa and also against McPherson.
"Justin really grew as a player this year. He is one of the best left tackles in the leagure and does a great job protecting the quarterback's blind side. Brooks value to our offensive success cannot be put into words. He played different positions across the line and excelled at all of them. He is a selfles player that any coach would love to work with. Cory was one of the best we have. He works extremely well in space, constantly blocks guys bigger than him, and he finishes blocks the way we want. He got to live every linemans dream and score a touchdown running the ball. It was a pleasure to watch these guys work together this year," added Hubbard.
Roman Roberson was named to the Second Team All-KCAC Defensive team. Roberson, just a freshman from Oceanside, California, was solid in the defensive backfield all season long. The freshman made 28 tackles, 23 unassisted, but made his mark with interceptions. Roberson had four interceptions, one of which he returned for a touchdown, he also broke up 11 passes. He is in the top 20 nationally in interceptions per game, and in total interceptions.
"Roman had a solid first season for Bethany. He has a knack for being where the ball is going which led to his four interceptions and his 11 knockdowns," said Hubbard of his first year corner.
Adam Maisch was named Second Team All-KCAC Special Teams as a kicker. Maisch is a senior from Copperopolis, California. Maisch ranks 22nd in the NAIA with eight made field goals. "Kayden ran the ball well this year. He stepped in when his number was called and ran with extreme passion. Freddie was one of the most dominate defensive lineman in the league. He can control an entire side of the line when he his motor is going. Quincy has the ability to run by an offensive lineman every play. He has some nice pass rush moves and is able to cover ground quickly. Tayler is a four year starter for Bethany. He is a heavy hitter that some of his opponents got to feel first hand. Brett is a great athlete, punter, and a man of character. He's one of our captains and was always engaged in the game."
