Football Announces Staff Changes
LINDSBORG - Bethany College Interim Head Football Coach Tyrone Carter announced the additions of Chris Snyder, Michael Klyce, and Shawn Kincade to his coaching staff.
Chris Snyder has been named the team's Offensive Coordinator, Quarterbacks Coach, Recruiting Coordinator, and Associate Head Coach. He returns to the Swedes after serving as the Offensive Coordinator, Quarterbacks Coach, and Wide Recievers Coach at KCAC foe University of Saint Mary. Before working at Saint Mary, Snyder served as the Swedes Offensive Coordinator, Associate Head Coach, and Recruiting Coordinator for four seasons. Prior to his first stint with the Swedes, he served as the Quarterbacks and Receiver Coach as well as Recruiting Coordinator at Independence Community College for one season. Snyder arrived in Independence after serving one season as the Head Coach at Mendocino College in California. He was the Assistant Head Coach, Offensive Coordinator, and Recruiting Coordinator at Kansas Wesleyan University from 2009-2012, and held the same role at Mendocino College from 2004-2009. He got his start in coaching at Doane College in Nebraska, where he served as the Quarterbacks Coach for three seasons.
Michael Klyce will serve as the Running Backs Coach and Special Teams Coordinator for the Swedes. He was the Head Coach at Alain Leroy Locke High School for the last three seasons. Before heading to Alain Leroy Locke, he was the Defensive Coordinator and Linebackers Coach for a season at Cantwell Sacred Heart High School. Coach Klyce was the Linebackers Coach at East Los Angeles College during the 2016 season. Coach Klyce has also served as the Head Coach at Animo South Los Angeles High School and as the Defensive Coordinator/ Linebackers Coach at Morningside High School. He is a 2009 graduate of the University of Arizona with a Bachelor's of Art, where he played safety for the football team.
Shawn Kincade has been tabbed as the new Wide Recievers Coach for Bethany College. He comes to Lindsborg after serving as the Running Backs Coach at Vermilion Community College. Coach Kincade was a member of the Doane University Football program, where he is a 2020 graduate with a Bachelor's degree in Business with a minor in Communications.
