York, Neb. – The Bethany College Swedes Men's Soccer Team took the road to York, Nebraska to face off against the York University Panthers in a conference match-up.
It wouldn't take long for the scoring to start as the Panthers would jump on the board within the first three minutes by way of a penalty kick. From there, things would go quiet until seven seconds before the half where York would add to their lead to go up 2-0.
The Panthers would score first in the second half as they would take position off a missed header by the Swedes, drive down the field, and knock another one in to take a 3-0 lead. Not to be outdone, Matthias Hooke would connect with Tahj Reid to put the Swedes on the board, but that would be all she wrote as the Panthers would take this one 3-1.
Tahj Reid would lead the game in total shots taken with 4. Matthias Hooke would tally the lone assist of the day for Bethany. Jake Goldstein drew the start for the Swedes in goal providing two saves in the contest.

The Swedes will jump back on the road, but this time they will travel to Leavenworth, Kansas to face off against the University of Saint Mary Spires. Kickoff is set for 3:30pm on Saturday, October 7th.
