Hillsboro, Kan. – The Bethany College Swedes Women's Soccer Team took a trip to Hillsboro, Kansas to take on the Tabor College Bluejays in a conference match.
Jake Goldstein had his work cut out for his early and often. In the first half, Goldstein tallied 10 saves on 16 total shot attempts by the Bluejays. His efforts proved strong as both teams went into the break scoreless.
The Swedes were playing on their heels throughout the match. Tabor would open up the second half the same way they did in the first with their first shot coming 24 seconds into the half. Jarit Mejia was able to take Bethany's first shot of the night before the 50-minute mark, but the Bluejays would go all gas, no brake and eventually break through with goals in the 58th, 67th, and 90th minutes. Steven McQueen would put the Swedes on the board just 15 seconds later with a header on a pass delivered from Fernando Villaseca to get the Swedes on the board. The Swedes would fall 1-3.
Jake Goldstein would end with 15 saves on 18 shots by the Bluejays. Steven McQueen would score his second goal in three games.

The Swedes have the second half of two away games in a row. This time, the Swedes take longer trip to Bartlesville, Oklahoma to face the No. 8 Oklahoma Wesleyan University Eagles. Kickoff is set for 1:00 pm.
