HERM WILSON INVITATIONAL RECAP
Wichita, Kan. - The Bethany College Swedes Indoor Track and Field team competed in the Herm Wilson Invitational this past Friday and Saturday as a final prep before the KCAC Indoor Track and Field meet in a couple of weeks.
Bethany competed against tough competition in a big meet that included Division II and JUCO teams. With many heats and flights for the athletes, there were some great finishes and heat wins showing the Swedes finishing strength.
The Swedes continued to show grit and consistency. "We were pleased with the personal improvements we showed this weekend and are confident in how the team is progressing before the indoor championships that will be held in Omaha, Nebraska," said Head Coach Aaron Yoder.
With a down week coming up, the Swedes will recharge and refresh to be ready for the final sharpening phase.
The Swedes had a total of 13 personal bests, 3 top-3 finishes, 1 event finalist, and 1 national qualifying mark.
