SWEDES DROP GAME AGAINST JAGUARS
San Antonio, TX. - The Swedes watched the game slip away early and couldn't recover in a 14-4 loss to Texas A&M at San Antonio.
The Jaguars put up a four spot in the first inning that the Swedes were unable to come back from. Bethany struggled to put runs on the board and had a tough time defensively containing TAMUSA, giving up 14 runs.
Cambree Aguirre led things off in the circle for Bethany College Swedes. The righthander went two innings, allowing four runs on four hits and striking out one. Jordyn Stelzig, Dara Muller, and Avrile De Leon each contributed in relief for the Swedes.
Bethany racked up 11 hits. Melinda Cratty and Myranda Jimenez all had multiple hits for the Swedes. Cratty led the Swedes with three hits in four at bats, hitting a triple and double.
Up next…
Bethany will be back on the field Sunday, February 12th at 9:00 AM to resume game four of the classic against OLLU. Game four against the Saints was paused due to darkness. The Swedes will then play Midland University afterwards for the last game of the weekend.
