MARTINEZ WINS KCAC PITCHER OF THE WEEK

Wichita, Kan. — Lilliana Martinez has earned the KCAC Softball Pitcher of the Week honors the conference office announced Monday. Martinez was selected for her performances from March 27-April 2 by a vote of conference sports information directors. All KCAC Player of the Week honors are presented by Equity Bank.

Lilliana is the second Swede to be recognized for her play with weekly honors. Martinez is the first player from Bethany to win Pitcher of the Week this season, while Melinda Cratty won Player of the Week earlier this season. 

This past week, Lilliana Martinez only allowed two hits and one earned run combined in both of her outings as a pitcher. She went the distance in both of her appearances and secured a 2-0 record for the week.
