Swedes Win Against Oklahoma Wesleyan Eagles in Overtime

Tuesday night the Swedes faced off against the Oklahoma Wesleyan Eagles. The Eagles started off strong securing a 24-12 lead at the end of the first quarter. Kennedy BEcker and Lauren Gleason scored a total of 4 points each in the first quarter to contribute to the 12 points for the Swedes. The Eagles held onto their lead in the second quarter with a 33 to 24 lead. Emily Weathers and Sarah Reiner scored a total of 4 points each contributing to the 12 points for the Swedes this quarter. In the third quarter the Eagles still held their lead 43 to 35. Emily Weathers scored a total of 6 points in the third quarter and Sarah Reiner scored a total of 2. In the fourth quarter, the Swedes fought hard for a comeback and managed to secure a tied up score of 58 to 58 against the Eagles. Senior Autumn Garret scored a total of 13 points in the 4th quarter R'Maine Pulling scored a total of 6 points. The Swedes scored a total of 23 points in the fourth quarter with 7 rebounds. The Eagles only managed to score 15 points this half. In overtime the Swedes won against the Eagles by one point. The Swedes scored a total of 10 points to the Eagles 9 points. Autumn Garret scored a total of 3 points in overtime and Kisa Unruh scored a total of 4 points Sarah Reiner scored a total of 2 and Emily Weathers scored 1 point.
Field goals for the Swedes were 26 to 69 with 37.7%. Additionally, 3-pointers were 1-7 with 14.7%. The Swedes had a total of 35 rebounds for the game. Oklahoma Wesleyan's field goal was 20 to 56 with 35.7%. Additionally, 3-pointers were 8 to 20 with a 40%. The Eagles also had a total of 35 rebounds for the game. The Swedes spent the entirety of the game behind until they secured the comeback and were able to secure the win in overtime against the Eagles.
