Monday night the Bethany College Swedes faced off against the Ottawa Braves. The Swedes started off strong securing a 3 point lead at the end of the first quarter 12 to 9. At the end of second quarter, Bethany increased the lead 33 to 19. Playing close during the first 15 minutes of action, a 12-1 run to close the first half got things rolling for the women as they improved to 4-0 in conference action, 6-3 overall. The Swedes held onto their lead in the third quarter with a 52 to 33 lead. Bethany secured the win with a score of 54 to 71. The Swedes made 27 of 70 field goals producing a 38.6% shooting clip compared to Ottawa's 37.8%. The Swedes had a total of 37 rebounds comapared to the Braves 29 rebounds. Bethany also had 15 assists compared to Ottawa's 6. 

Bethany built its lead to 20 several times in the final period as the Swedes were able to clear the bench with only five women seeing as much as 24 minutes on the floor.
Autumn Garrett led the way with 16 points, a couple of steals and four assists. R'Manie Pulling was good for 15 points and Emily Weathers had 14 points and 5 rebounds for the Swedes. Emily Green scored a total of 9 points and had the most rebounds at 7. Bethany came up with 15 steals and forced 20 Brave turnovers. They also ended with a 37-29 advantage on the glass.
