SWEDES DROP OPENER TO OCU

LINDSBORG, KAN. - The Bethany College Swedes matched up against the Oklahoma City University Stars Wednesday night for their season opener.

The Swedes had a total of 10 shots with 3 on goal compared to OCU's 18 shots with 7 on goal. Only two goals were conceded by the Swedes during this match up, one of them via penalty kick in the second half of action. The Swedes had a couple opportunities during the game but were just unlucky in finding the back of the net. Overall, the Swedes maintained a solid energy as they battled up until the 90^th minute.

Skyler Armstrong led the Swedes' attack with 4 total shots, 2 of them on goal. Meloine Baca tallied the only other shot on goal in her lone attempt. Mackenzie Nutter got the start at goalkeeper and provided 5 saves throughout the contest.
