Swedes Tie Against Ottawa Braves

Lindsborg, KS- On Friday October 7th the Swedes traveled to Ottawa, KS to face off against the Ottawa Braves.

Both teams came out strong as Ottawa put the Swedes to the test with an early shot on goal saved by Mackenzie Nutter. The Swedes responded shortly after with a shot taken by Melissa Estrada and then by Skyler Armstrong that were both saved by the Ottawa keeper. As the game continued the Swedes had a total of 7 shots, 3 by Melissa Estrada, 2 by Skyler Armstrong, 1 by Devynn Knipp and 1 by Jysell Sampedro. Keeper for the Swedes, Mackenzie Nutter, had a total of 9 saves for the game. 

 

Shots were taken by both teams but were just unlucky in finding the back of the next. The Swedes stepped up to the challenge on the road and battled it out to secure a tie against the Braves.

The Swedes face off against the Kansas Wesleyan Coyotes at 5pm at the Anderson Stadium in Lindsborg, KS.
