Swedes Secure First Conference Win Against Sterling Warriors

Lindsborg, KS- On Saturday October 15th the Swedes faced off against the Sterling Warriors.

 

The Swedes came out strong against the Warriors with a goal scored by Paige Henry in the 26th minute with an assist from Skyler Armstrong. The Swedes had a total of 18 shots in the first half with 7 of them being on goal. Shots were taken by Paige Henry, Melonie Baca, Lyric Green, Devynn Knipp, Lexie Fischer, Alaina Strickland, and Ariana Hurley. For the first half, Sterling had one shot on goal that was saved by goal keeper Mackenzie Nutter

In the second half the Swedes started off strong with a goal scored in the 46th minute by Leonela Flores. The Swedes had a total of 26 shots with 15 of those on goal. Shots were taken by Leonela Flores, Skyler Armstrong, Paige Henry, Devynn Knipp, Melonie Baca, Lyric Green, Jysell Sampedro, Ariana Hurley, Danielle McSeveney, and Ashlynn Bolieu. The Swedes secured a third goal against Sterling with a penalty kick in the 54th minute shot by Devynn Knipp. Sterling again only had one shot on goal that was saved by goal keeper Mackenzie Nutter

The Swedes played hard against Sterling and secured their first conference win on the road.
