SWEDES FALL TO UNDEFEATED HORNETS

LINDSBORG, KAN. – The Bethany College Swedes Women's Soccer Team hosted the Harris-Stowe State University Hornets in a match that was rescheduled to begin at 10:00am CT.

The Swedes came out and strategically made their way down field leading to a corner kick by Jacqueline Escalera, but the Hornets found the back of the net first in the 13th minute to make it 1-0. Two minutes later, Harris-Stowe was able to score again increasing their lead to two points. The Swedes would try to answer back as Skyler Armstrong would take two shots but miss them just wide of the goal. The Hornets would lead 2-0 at the break.

In the second half, Lexi Lons would sub in at the goalie position and Donatella Luccarreli would start in the midfield. Harris-Stowe would continue to apply pressure as the Hornets tallied 8 shots within the period, but would only score on 1 of those shots in the 60th minute. The Swedes would fall in this one 3-0.
