LINDSBORG, KAN. – The Bethany College Men's Soccer Team started their final two-game homestand with a rivalry for the ages against the Kansas Wesleyan University Coyotes.
Things were slow in the first half of the match. Both teams were feeling each other out and trying to exploit holes in each other's defense. Only a total of seven shots were attempted in the half. Neither team was able to take a lead resulting in a 0-0 tie going into the half.
The Coyotes came out swinging in the second half putting up 11 shots and finally getting one past the Bethany goalie with a free kick that was lasered. Unfortunately, that was the lone goal of the evening as the Swedes would fall 1-0.
Skyler Armstrong would take two of the three shots for the Swedes with Jacqueline Escalera taking the third. Molly Atchley had a solid game tallying nine saves on 10 attempts.

The Swedes have one more game left on the season. They will host the Friends University Falcons in the Coach Ted Kessinger Family Stadium for Senior Night on Saturday, October 28th at 5:00pm following the completion of the women's soccer match.
