SWEDES FALL TO YORK IN TOUGH ROAD MATCH

York, Neb. — The Bethany College Swedes Women's Soccer team traveled to Nebraska on Wednesday afternoon to face York University in conference play.

The Swedes started the match well, showing composure and organization during the opening 30 minutes. Bethany managed to hold possession at times and push the lines forward, demonstrating noticeable improvement in defensive structure. However, York capitalized on an early opportunity in the 12th minute and carried that momentum through the rest of the first half.

As the match progressed, fatigue became evident for the Swedes, who were limited in rotations and struggled to maintain intensity against a deep York squad. The hosts continued to press and ultimately secured a 7–0 win.

Despite the result, the Swedes continue to show flashes of progress, particularly in their opening stretches of play and defensive coordination.
