KCAC FALL INDIVIDUAL CHAMPIONSHIP RECAP

Friday the 15^th was a complete rain-out, with teams from all twelve conference schools sitting the sidelines as Mother Nature won the day. Play resumed at 8:30 on Saturday with Women's Singles at the Ron Dahlsten Tennis Complex and Men's Doubles at the Lindquist Tennis Center. Final matches for the tournament finished after 11:00 pm, with eighteen flight champions crowned from six separate schools. McPherson College led the way with six women's championships and five men's championships. 

 

For the Swedes, highlights came from the Women's side of the tournament. In the #2 Singles flight, Freshman Kyla Metro advanced to the semi-finals with a quarterfinal upset of #2 Rachel Chaney of Evangel before taking home the 3^rd place medal. In the #3 flight, Sophomore Maria Mistereck was also able to upset the #2 seed Mariam Alli-Balogun of Ottawa and then win her 3^rd place match for Bethany's second medal of the day.
