SWEDES DOMINATE EAGLES IN CONFERENCE MATCH-UP
Kansas City, Mo. - In a remarkable display of skill and coordination, the Bethany College Swedes women's tennis team clinched a 7-0 victory against the Avila University Eagles on March 18, 2025. The conference match held at Plaza Tennis Center, Kansas City, Missouri, showcased the Swedes' dominance on the court from the beginning to the end of the contest.
The Swedes displayed exceptional performances across both singles and doubles matches. In singles, Ana Sofia Castillo Paz led the charge with a hard-fought 6-4, 6-4 win against Danielle Jean-Louis. Maria Mistereck followed suit, overcoming Kylee Bragaw with scores of 6-3, 6-4. Notably, Kyla Metro displayed a flawless game, shutting out Tia Wilsher 6-0, 6-2. Karee Adam fought a particularly challenging match, eventually triumphing 5-7, 6-3, 10-2 over Ava Healy. Furthermore, Makenna Russom demonstrated her prowess with a dominating 6-3, 6-0 victory against Alaeyah Chleborad, while Helen Harbit swept away Kylee Norris with a perfect 6-0, 6-0 score.
In doubles, the teams of Maria Mistereck and Karee Adam won 6-2 against Kylee Bragaw and Danielle Jean-Louis. Kyla Metro and Makenna Russom showed no mercy with a 6-0 win over Tia Wilsher and Alaeyah Chleborad. Also, Helen Harbit and Ana Sofia Castillo Paz secured a 6-1 victory against Ava Healy and Kylee Norris, ensuring a clean sweep in doubles as well.
