SWEDES COMPETE WITH BULLDOGS
McPherson, Kan. – The Bethany College Swedes Tennis teams travelled down to our county-rivals, the McPherson College Bulldogs, for a match to open the month of April.
The men secured the doubles point with a 3-0 sweep. The #3 doubles team of Dylan Gwilt and Diego Bsereni had their work cut out for them, but prevailed with a final line score of 7-6 (7-5). Unfortunately, it was the opposite for the women's team. The duo of Karee Adam and Elise Richardson as the #3 team had the best showing falling 4-6.
As for singles, the men could not keep that momentum. Gustavo Cardoso escaped his #4 match with a line score of 7-6 (7-3), 7-6 (7-3). Diego Bsereni had the strongest outing for the Swedes with a 6-4, 6-2 win in the #5 spot. The #5 (Elise Richardson) and #6 (Karee Adam) for the Swedes held it down winning their matches in the third sets.
Ultimately, both the men and women would fall to the Bulldogs 3-4 and 2-5, respectively.
