SWEDES SWEEP SHORTHANDED EAGLES

Kansas City, Mo. – The Bethany College Swedes Tennis teams took a trip up to Kansas City, Mo. to take on conference foe, the Avila University Eagles.

The women's side was quick as the Eagles only had three athletes compete. They played one doubles match in which the Swedes came out on top 6-1. As for singles, the Swedes went 2-1 and Ana Sofia Castillo Paz and Helen Harbit secured their second victories of the day.

As for the men, they showed up and handled business. In the doubles matches, The #1 (Francisco Bravo / Martin Priban) and #3 (Dylan Gwilt / Diego Bsereni) both won their matches with the latter needing a little extra to secure the win. In singles, everyone won in two sets for a combined score of 72-20.

The Swedes will have a quick turnaround as they will be heading to Sterling College to take on the Warriors in another conference match-up on Monday, April 6.
