SWEDES FALL IN REMATCH WITH EAGLES

Lindsborg, Kan. – The Bethany College Swedes Women's Tennis team ended their stellar season in the second round of the KCAC Spring Tennis Championships. The Swedes, fresh off a victory over their rivals from up north, fell to the #1-seeded Oklahoma Wesleyan University Eagles.

The double point went to the Eagles after they only dropped one set. In singles play, the Eagles won the #2, #3, and #4 matches to clinch a spot in the finals. The Swedes were unable to win a single set, but had the lead in the #5 and #6 singles matches, both in the second set.

This marks the end of the season for the Swedes women's tennis team as they complete a spectacular season with a fourth consecutive playoff run and their first playoff victory in at least a decade.
