NAIA/JUCO CHALLENGE RECAP

Pittsburg, Kan. - The Bethany College Indoor Track & Field team were on the competition trail again Saturday, January 20th; this time at the Pittsburg State University NAIA/JUCO Challenge in Pittsburg, Kansas. The Indoor Track & Field team competed well with no outdoor practice thus far in 2024.

"We were pleased with the improvements and progress as we prep for the next meet this week at Wichita State for the Herm Wilson Invitational. This will be our last meet before the KCAC Indoor Track and Field Championships," said Head Coach Aaron Yoder. "We're excited about getting outside this week to get in-depth track and field training."

Overall, the Swedes walked away with 24 personal bests, 1 event finalist, 1 top-3 finish, 1 school record, and 1 more national qualifying mark.

Enoch Ojo led the charge by advancing to the Long Jump finals and qualifying for nationals in the 400m with a time of 48.96s which sets a new school record and was also good for a top-3 finish.

"We are impressed with how everyone competed with the training we were able to do with the weather the way it has been," said Coach Yoder.
