Featured Athlete of the Week--Lisa Runnebaum

Major: Criminal Justice

Plans for the future? Undecided at the time, but I am currently looking into grad school.

Why did you choose to go to Bethany? I loved the atmosphere, the small town feeling, and of course volleyball. It reminded me of my hometown. Plus, it was far enough from home, but not so far that I would be homesick.

What has been your favorite memory from college? I don't have one distinct favorite memory. However, I love coming to school in the fall and meeting all of the new people. Plus, I have made some of my closest friends here at Bethany.

What has been your favorite memory from your career as an athlete? My favorite volleyball memory was senior night when we beat Friends. It was such an adrenaline rush and we had the best crowd that I have ever seen at one of our games! It was such an incredible feeling.

What drives you as an athlete? My determination to always do my best. I never want to give less than 100% because then it is pointless for me to be out on that court. I am always driving to be the best and I am always wanting to do better!

What is a talent outside of your sport that you posses? I can tap dance.

What is something very few people know about you? I LOVE the oldies! Give me the Beach Boys and Beattles over Justin Timberlake any day!
