SWEDES UPENDED BY YOTES
LINDSBORG, KAN. - The Swedes hosted the Kansas Wesleyan University Coyotes rivals in Hahn Gymnasium. It was a high energy match in the gymnasium with both teams competing. The Yotes secured the match win in four sets.
The match started off with the Swedes and Yotes going back and forth in the first set up until Kansas Wesleyan went up by 4 points extending their lead 11-5. The Swedes responded by scoring a couple points until the Yotes went on a 6-point run extending the lead 17-7. The Swedes battled but were unable to overcome the 10-point deficit, dropping the first set 25-18. The second set also started out with both teams going back and forth until the Yotes took hold of the momentum, scoring 6 points in a row and extended their lead 21-11. Bethany made a push at the end but dropped the second set 25-14. Bethany came alive in the third set and kept a slim lead that allowed the Swedes to win 25-22. The Swedes and the Yotes battled the fourth set and went back and forth with the game tied 23-23. The Yotes then squeezed in 2 points taking the fourth set 25-23.
Britta Romisch, senior outside hitter, had 10 kills and 4 errors out of 21 kill attempts, making a .286 kill percentage along with 6 digs. Justice Brackney, senior middle blocker, had 9 kills and 4 errors out of 19 kill attempts, making a .263 kill percentage. Atlantis Jamerson had 8 kills and 3 errors out of 24 kill attempts, making a .208 kill percentage.

The Bethany Volleyball team will be back on the court Tuesday, September 27th against McPherson College. The match will start at 7:00 PM in Hahn Gymnasium.
