Swedes are on the Rise by Coach Marrs

"Swedes are on the Rise!" That is our theme for the year and it requires the relentless pursuit of improvement. Since coming to Bethany, our team's main goal has been to have a positive influence on our campus and community.

The focal point for improvement has been on character development. Their class attendance is nearly perfect, and we excitedly await their midterm grades! We are embracing the grind of early morning practices, classes, grueling afternoon workouts, as well as accounting for our studies each day. As we push forward and continue to improve we seek to put others first and challenge one other to make our decisions based on the betterment of those around us.

It is exciting to see how the Swede wrestlers will rise in year two and what kind of influence they can have on the Swedes around them. The best thing we can do is to cherish this place, love those around us, and enjoy rolling up our sleeves and finding a way to maximize our potential as human beings, students and athletes.
