SWEDES REPRESENT IN CONNER / OPPENHEIM OPEN

Crete, Neb. - The Bethany College Swedes Wrestling Team completed the second half of their road trip particpating in the Doane Conner / Oppenheim Open. 

Below are a few notable performances:

Nathaniel Zabala earned his second win of the season by way of a 18-0 tech fall over Shy'Ron McMurray of Benedictine College.

Triston Vande Velde earned his second victory of the season by way of a 16-7 major decision over Jason Bowers of Friends University.

Azazual Dunlap secured his first actual win of the season by way of fall 2:46 into the contest. Dunlap's first victory was a forfeit in the Oklahoma Wesleyan Duals.

The Swedes are done for the rest of 2023 and will resume their season on Wednesday, January 6th with a trip to Wichita, Kansas to compete in the Friends University Duals. First match is set for 7:00 PM.
