Swedes offense comes out strong winning 11-3 against Huston-Tillotson University

Austin, Tex. - In game 2 of the series the Swedes offense woke up after dropping the first game. Joseph Rivera showed timely hitting on Saturday, driving in four on three hits to lead the Swedes past Huston-Tillotson University 11-3.

Swedes fired up the offense in the first inning, when Luis Ramos started the explosion with a double scoring Payton Walk. David Espinal would hit into a fielder's choice, allowing another run to score in the top of the first inning. 

The Swedes would score in five of the seven innings with the biggest inning coming in the five run sixth inning. The Swedes big inning was driven by singles by Randy Good and Joseph Rivera and an error on a ball put in play by Noel Perez.

Mauricio Hernandez earned the victory on the mound for the Swedes. Hernandez allowed seven hits and two runs over five and a third innings, striking out two. Kenny Nieves threw one and two-thirds innings in relief out of the bullpen.

The Swedes had 15 hits in the game. Joseph Rivera, Noel Perez, Luis Ramos, and Connor Crayton all managed multiple hits for Swedes. Noel Perez and Joseph Rivera all had three hits to lead the Swedes.
