SWEDES WIN GAME 3 BY A SCORE OF 9-1

Austin, Tex. - In game 3 of the series the Swedes sailed to an easy victory over Huston-Tillotson University 9-1 in the first game of the doubleheader Sunday. 

The Swedes got things going in the first inning, when Luis Ramos drew a bases loaded walk, which allowed one run to score. 

Swedes pulled away for good with two runs in the third inning. In the top half of the third Joseph Rivera hit a solo homer to left field and Luis Ramos singled on the first pitch of the at bat, driving in Payton Walk to bring the game to 3-1.

The offense would not be stopped as they would add on three runs in the top of the sixth inning and seventh inning. In the sixth inning the scoring began with a based loaded walk bringing in Emanuel Alicea, then a David Espinal hard single through the hole to score Caleb Copeland, and a sacrifice fly by Willard Frizzell which allowed Noel Perez to tag up and score. Going into the seventh inning the Swedes led 6-1. 

In the seventh inning, Randy Good started the inning off with a single followed by a double from Connor Crayton to bring runners to second and third. A pinch-hit double by Caleb Rodriguez would bring both runners in followed by a single from Noel Perez to bring him in. The Swedes would win game three by the score of 9-1. 

Willian Figueroa-Soto pitched for the Swedes  to victory. The big left handed pitcher allowed six hits and one run over five and two-thirds innings, striking out five.  Carlos Guzman and Jacob Mallozzi entered the game out of the bullpen and helped to close out the game in relief.

Swedes totaled 12 hits. Joseph Rivera, David Espinal, and Willard Frizzell all managed multiple hits for Swedes. Defensively the Swedes didn't commit a single error in the field.
