SWEDES SHUTOUT AT HOME

Lindsborg, Kan, - The Bethany College Baseball team hosted Tabor College for a mid-week conference game. The Swedes fell behind early and couldn't come back in a 10-0 loss to Tabor College on Wednesday.

The Swedes pitching struggled to contain the high-powered offense of Tabor, giving up ten runs, on 11 hits, and three errors.

Bryant Baez took the loss for the Swedes. The pitcher went three innings, allowing five runs (one earned) on five hits and striking out three. Nick Flores came in as relief and lasted three and two thirds innings, allowing five earned runs on six hits walking two and striking out one. Alfredo Cruz made an appearance but only threw one pitch to get the batter to flyout to center field.

Offensively, the Swedes only had four hits in the game, with Caleb Copeland counting for two of them. Copeland went 2-for-2 at the plate to lead Swedes in hits. Noel Perez and Joseph Rivera both picked up a single and that was all for the Swedes offense.
