SPENCER EARNS SECOND KCAC MEN'S BASKETBALL DEFENSIVE PLAYER OF THE WEEK
Lindsborg, Kan. – Devin Spencer as earned this week's KCAC Men's Basketball Defensive Player of the Week honors the conference office announced Monday. Spencer was selected for his performances from February 17-23 by a vote of conference sports information directors.
Spencer capped off his incredible season with seven steals against the Kansas Wesleyan University Coyotes and six steals against the Friends University Falcons. He now leads the entire NAIA with 96 steals, most of which he ripped from his opponents. The second place steals leader in the NAIA sits at 80 steals on the year. Spencer outpaced eight of the thirteen KCAC teams in steals this week with 13. He was key in forcing the Coyotes and Falcons to a combined 37 turnovers; 20 of them against the Falcons. This is the second time this season Spencer has been named the KCAC Men's Basketball Defensive Player of the Week.
